Former Celtic star stuns young fan with amazing gesture as he states 'I had to meet you'

Muirhouse's Kieran Tierney has showed that he's not forgotten his roots as the former Celtic star made a heartfelt gesture to an Arsenal fan.

The left-back is a fans' favourite at the Gunners and is one of the people in contention to be their next captain. He joined from Celtic in 2019.

Tierney was Tweeted in the build-up to Wednesday's match against Liverpool by Tony Smith, who has been a trainer for a young boy named Cameron, who has cerebral palsy.

Ahead of Cameron - who is also a Celtic fan - heading in for a large operation, Smith asked if a meeting between the pair could happen.

It did so and more as Cameron and Tierney linked up at the midweek match in London, which Arsenal lost 2-0 thanks to Liverpool goals from Jota and Roberto Firmino.

Upon seeing the Gunners fan, Tierney said: "Give me a hug mate, it's so nice to meet you. You're an inspiration. When I seen the video I had to meet you."

The man from Muirhouse then proceeded to sign memorabilia and met Cameron's family, before exchanging shirts with each other.
