Former Celtic star's season could be finished as injury poised to wreck Champions League push

Former Celtic star Kieran Tierney could be set to miss the rest of the season at Arsenal, according to reports.

The left-back is a key performer for the Gunners and Scotland's national team, but he has returned from last month's international friendlies injured.

Now the Scottish Sun report that the initial diagnosis isn't good and it could rule him out for the foreseeable.

It will be a big blow for Arsenal as they push for Champions League spots in the English Premier League.

Scotland head coach Steve Clarke will be head in hands over the news too with a World Cup play-off run against Ukraine and potentially Wales coming in June.

Reports state that the Muirhouse ace's injury potentially requires surgery.

Now 24, Tierney played in both matches against Austria and Poland, scoring his first Scotland goal in the latter during a 1-1 draw.

Celtic sold him to Arsenal for a fee of £25 million in 2019 after he won eight trophies over four years.
