Erik Sviatchenko was on target for Midtjylland as they picked up a famous win over Lazio.
The former Celtic defender rounded off the perfect evening for his club side as they fired FIVE goals past the Serie A outfit to secure a stunning 5-1 success in their Group F Europa League clash. The Danes suffered a 1-0 loss in the opening game of the section at Sturm Graz but they emphatically fired themselves right back into contention on their own patch.
Paulinho opened the scoring on 26 minutes before Sory Kaba added a second four minutes later. Evander then netted from the spot early in the second period to put the home side in cruise control but the Italian's grabbed a goal back through Sergej Malinkovic-Savic. However, any hopes of a Euro comeback were crushed then Gustav Isaksen made it 4-1 after 67 minutes with Sviatchenko then adding the fifth with just under 20 minutes to play.

Midjtylland have struggled domestically so far this campaign with just two wins from nine league outings, leaving them eighth in the standings. They trail leaders Nordsjaelland by ten points.
Lazio have made a decent start to their season with three wins, two draws and one loss in their first six games. They are back in action on Sunday against Cremonese and the fans will be expecting a massive reaction after a massive loss on the road in Europe.
