Clyde have signed former Celtic youngster Ryan Mullen ahead of this weekend's SPFL Trust Trophy third round clash with Caernarfon Town.
Mullen had taken part in The Bully Wee’s pre-season preparations and has appeared as a trialist on the bench in the last three cinch League 1 defeats to Edinburgh, Alloa and Airdrie following an injury to number one Joshua Bradley-Hurst.
The 21-year-old, who has been capped for Scotland at under-19 level, was released by the Hoops at the end of last season but has now found his next permanent club after sealing a deal until the end of the season.
Boss Danny Lennon told the Clyde website: “Competition in every area of the pitch is important. Ryan has been training with us for a while and is an excellent keeper, who will push the other two for game-time.
“We welcome him to the club and look forward to his contributions.”
On Saturday Clyde welcome Welsh Premier side Caernarfon to New Douglas Park, aiming to book their spot in the fourth round of the SPFL Trust Trophy after a painful 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Lanarkshire rivals Airdrie last weekend in the league.
