Former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao inspires flood of 'Broccoli' memecoins: 'I am just posting my dog’s picture'

Changpeng Zhao, former CEO of the world’s largest crypto exchange Binance, denied he would launch his own dog-themed memecoin on Thursday, ending online speculation that had started earlier in the week after he mentioned having a pet dog.

Following days of anticipation from fans, Zhao, commonly known as “CZ,” clarified that he just wanted to share a photo of his dog Broccoli and will not introduce a memecoin. “I am just posting my dog's picture and name,” Zhao wrote on X on Thursday. “I am NOT issuing a meme coin myself.”
