Former Bengals teammate responds to Germaine Pratt’s message

Former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Chidobe Awuzie saw Germaine Pratt’s message to Bengals fans after Week 15 and had something of his own to say.

Awuzie kept his message short and sweet to Pratt, too: “Shutup & get off twitter.”

The two are friends, of course, and the bit of advice was well received, as fans can see in the comments.

But for outsiders, it’s an interesting glimpse behind the curtains. Some Bengals players have been on and off social media for most of the season. That, while the defense has been one of the worst in the league.

Now, here’s Awuzie, one of the key veterans from past successful seasons that the team didn’t bring back, publicly offering guidance to one of the Bengals’ captains this season.

While not as notable as say, Jessie Bates, DJ Reader and others, it seems pretty clear that Awuzie was another key member of the locker room that the organization didn’t retain, leading to the current lost season.
