The cinema opened in 1933 and closed in 1961.
The Asia Supermarket, who own the site on Agincourt Avenue have told Belfast Live that demolition of the buildings are "imminent" and are likely to begin in the coming months.
Work could begin in late December or the start of the New Year.
In March of this year, Belfast City Council planners approved the demolition of the former supermarket on the grounds that the building was not in keeping with the character of the area
A planning report said: "The buildings are considered not to make a positive contribution to the draft ATC, the warehouse buildings are of a design and age that do not contribute to the character of Agincourt Avenue.
"The design of the office building does not make a significant contribute to the surroundingcharacter of the Ormeau Road, it being a utilitarian design that does not draw any key designfeatures from the Victorian/Edwardian buildings that gives the area its distinct character."
