Tottenham have been linked with a shock move for former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny ahead of the summer transfer window. It comes as the Lilywhites prepare for a potential change amid doubts over Hugo Lloris' future, with the Spurs captain having just over 12-months remaining on his contract.
The former France international has been a key player for Spurs over the years, but a recent influx in mistakes have crept into his game. It has made results tougher to come by in some instances, though there would have likely been a succession plan anyway due to the contract length remaining.
Despite the errors this season, head coach Antonio Conte has still labelled Lloris as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, saying back in January: "In this situation it's always difficult. I think that it's not positive to be focused on only one situation or two situation. Football I know is this and sometimes you can do positive and save many situations positively but honestly I consider Hugo one of the best keepers in the world and it can happen."

As a result of performances and a dwindling contract, the Lilywhites have been linked with a number of shot-stoppers, ranging from David Raya to Jordan Pickford. However, former Arsenal star Szczesny is the latest rumoured with a switch, with his contract at Juventus also expiring next summer.
The Poland international has been a relatively safe pair of hands for the Bianconeri, though his links to the Gunners may impact any decision. And according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Szczesny is set to stay in Turin for the foreseeable future, hopeful of seeing out his current deal at the very least.
It demonstrates another blow to Spurs in their hunt for a potential replacement for Lloris.
