Celtic forgotten man Ismaila Soro looks set to return to Israeli football this week with Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Be'er Sheva battling it out to sign the midfielder.
The Ivory Coast international spent the season on loan in Portugal with top-flight club Arouca, but has now returned to Parkhead and has no future under Brendan Rodgers.
Summer interest from Bordeaux and Panathinaikos came to nothing, but he's been handed a footballing lifeline by two clubs in Israel.
Soro was signed by Celtic from Israeli outfit Bnei Yehuda in 2020 for £2million after spending two years in the country.
And both Beitar Jerusalem and league runners-up Hapoel Be'er Sheva have made enquiries to sign the 25-year-old.
Soro still has a year left on his deal and Celtic are weighing up whether to rip up his contract and allow him to leave for nothing - like fellow flop, keeper Vasilis Barkas who has now signed for Utrecht - or seek a modest transfer fee.
He lost his place at Celtic under Ange Postecoglou and last started a game in the dead rubber Europa League match against Real Betis in December 2021.
Meanwhile, Cameron Carter-Vickers made his return to the pitch last night during Celtic's win over Athletic Bilbao.
But the American international faces a race to prove his fitness ahead of Saturday's Premiership opener against Ross County.
The defender came through his part of James Forrest's testimonial game with little problems.
