Mancunians will be treated to high temperatures and sunny conditions this weekend, according to Met Office predictions.
After a full week of wet and dreary conditions, the weekend is set to have some periods with sunshine and temperatures reaching as high as 19C. From Saturday, clouds will begin to break, making way for long periods of sunshine throughout the afternoon with only light winds.
By Sunday, temperatures will remain relatively warm but there will be a higher risk of rainy conditions in some parts, the Met office said.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "It’ll be dry and fine for much of the weekend in Manchester, with high pressure dominating the forecast leading to settled conditions and good periods of sunshine. While Saturday may start with some cloud, this will quickly dissipate in what should be a pleasant day in the sunshine. Temperatures could reach up to 19C in Manchester, just a little above average for the time of year.
"It's a similar story on Sunday with high pressure leading to a largely fine day with temperatures reaching the mid-teens. However, an advancing front of rain is moving in from the northwest late on Sunday, which could introduce some evening and overnight rain for the area as the front passes through.
"Further details on the timings of this will be available with a shorter lead time."
