[UPDATE] Ford Kills Explorer Hybrid So It Can Keep Selling Hybrid Interceptor to Police

UPDATE: Ford responded to a question with more details about the Ford Police Interceptor Utility hybrid. "We do not share powertrain mix volumes externally," Ford spokesperson Elizabeth Kraft told Motor1. "What I can say is that the hybrid PIU is very popular amongst our police agencies due to the savings in lower fuel cost that agencies experience from long idle times within their duty cycles."
