On an episode of Kelly Clarkson’s talkshow in June, Loyola University New Orleans received the kind of publicity many schools dream of.

Clarkson’s guest was Tom Llamas, newly minted anchor of the NBC Nightly News and a 2001 Loyola alumnus. And Llamas nodded when it was posed to him that he had gone to “one of the best communications schools in the country”.

“That’s why I went there,” he said of Loyola.
