For the first time this season, Mumbai's AQI fares worse than Delhi

MUMBAI: On Tuesday Mumbai's air quality index (113), considered moderate though, fared worse than Delhi's (83), which denotes satisfactory air pollution level, for the first time in the post monsoon season, suggested the SAFAR readings.

Delhi is considered as one of the worst polluted cities in the world and normally November onwards, as winter sets in, the pollution days go up every year across India. Air quality index is nothing but the count of concentration of carcinogenic particulate matter 2.5 in air.
