Six-time world snooker champion Steve Davis and former BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Steve Davis has put his cueing arm to good use since retiring as a professional competitor.
He's DJ'd at clubs and festivals and hosted a regular radio show with Gong and Cardiacs man Kavus Torabi, who he met at a Paris show by French prog veterans Magma. The pair later formed The Utopia Strong with Michael J. York, a former member of post-industrial experimental music group Coil. The band, in which Davis plays analogue modular synth, have supported Steve Hillage and Magma on tour, and released a third album, Collapse, in 2025.
