Sports Interactive and Sega have announced that Football Manager 26 is now available at a 33% discount across all major platforms. The sale applies to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as console versions on Xbox, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
The announcement was shared through the official Football Manager social channels, confirming that the discount is live now. For players who were waiting to jump into this year’s edition, this marks one of the most significant price drops since launch.
Is FM26 Worth It Now?

Football Manager 26 had an extremely messy launch. The game had countless bugs, poor performance, and glitches. For many, it was the worst FM game to date. In short, it was pretty much unplayable at launch, and fans were rightly frustrated. SI cancelled FM25 so they could work on FM26, and after a year of waiting, fans were treated to a game that did not fulfill any of the promises made.
Since its release, the game has had countless patches and updates with the sole goal of improving the game. Credit where credit is due: the game has made progress; performance is significantly better; moving between screens no longer feels choppy; and many of the game-breaking bugs have been fixed. But it’s still far from being the FM game fans wanted.
However, it has reached a stage where the game is playable and enjoyable. For hardcore soccer simulation fans, this game will satisfy you, but it’s not better than FM24. The mod support is also getting better. We still haven’t gotten skins, but newgens and custom stadium mods are available and working.
If you want to give FM26 a try, then this is the perfect time to get it. A 33% discount is particularly notable for a franchise that traditionally holds its value throughout the season. It’s definitely playable, and you will get the same soccer simulation experience you are looking for.
At its core, it’s still Football Manager despite its flaws. So, if you can bear with the glitches and the UI, you will still have fun taking a low-level team to the top.
