Police are still hunting for the "determined" killer who gunned down a father and son more than two years ago in a brazen daylight shooting.
Investigators have released CCTV footage showing the moments leading up to the fatal incident in Sydney's west.
Toufik and Salim Hamze were gunned down as they sat in a red ute at Guildford early on October 20, 2021, one of a series of suspected gangland shootings in recent years.
Salim, 18, died in the ute, while his 64-year-old father died later in hospital.
Detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad established Strike Force Ormerod to investigate the murders which are believed to be gang-related.
Four men, aged 20, 25, 18 and 23, have previously been charged and remain before the courts over their alleged roles in the incident.
But investigators are still searching for the man who pulled the trigger and his driving accomplice, and have released footage as part of a public appeal for help.
The CCTV shows a silver Lexus SUV stopped on Osgood Street in Guildford before a man leaves the vehicle and runs toward the stationary red ute.
The man, dressed in all black and wearing a balaclava, falls over before getting up and shooting into the ute, where Toufik and Salim were sitting.
He returns to the SUV as it starts to drive off before coming to a stop and more shots are fired into the ute.
Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said the shooting was a "violent, atrocious act" and a "barbaric and brazen murder" that happened just before 9am on a public street.
"Whilst the footage is confronting, it's important that we show that to the public to assist us with this investigation," he said.
Det Supt Doherty said the Hamze family had been waiting for answers for more than two years and it was hoped the footage would jog someone's memory about the day.
"(The footage) shows how determined they were to kill both Salim and Toufik sitting in the car, who were defenceless at the time," he said.
"Its intention is for us to provide answers to the family who are suffering still and put the people responsible for the actual shooting before the court."
