Roberto Firmino has shared footage of his speech he gave at his farewell party ahead of his Liverpool exit this summer.
The Brazilian is leaving the Reds at the end of his contract after eight years at Anfield, and signed off in perfect fashion as he returned from injury to score goals in both his final Anfield appearance against Aston Villa, and final Liverpool appearance against Southampton. As a result, he departs with his record standing at 111 goals and 72 assists from 362 appearances, having won every major honour on offer to him under Jurgen Klopp.
Firmino and his family hosted a private farewell party for friends, family, and colleagues at Anfield after the Reds’ penultimate home game of the season against Villa. Footage of Jordan Henderson leading a room-wide rendition of ‘Si Senor’ to serenade the forward has already emerged from the evening.

And now, with Firmino’s Liverpool career officially at an end, the 31-year-old, who rarely spoke publicly to the media during his eight years at Anfield, has shared footage of the emotional farewell speech he gave, in English, at the party, which received a standing ovation from all those in attendance as family members including his father and wife Larissa, fought back tears.
"Eight years of Liverpool are coming to an end for my family and me in a few days,” Firmino said to the room. “Naturally, I already knew about Liverpool FC when I arrived here from Germany eight years ago. And yet, I had no idea...
"I had no idea how much passion that is in the club. And what a huge, huge part this club plays in the lives of so many people around the world.
"I didn't know how positively crazy and how passionate the people who work at this club are, and how much this club and this stadium means to them.
"And the truth, the truth is I never could have dreamed that it was possible to achieve what we achieved together. It has been the honour of my life so far to have been a part of this Liverpool family. You’ll Never Walk Alone.”
Firmino’s video also featured the Brazilian receiving gifts from his Liverpool team-mates on stage, before embracing them all, a special photoshoot on the Anfield pitch with all the trophies he won during his Reds career, and footage of him posing for pictures with his family in front of his newly-revealed mural.
