Foord sparks Arsenal as Kerr goes goalless again

Sam Kerr, still starved of minutes in her meticulously managed comeback to football, has again gone goalless, playing just one more bit part as Chelsea still eked out another narrow 1-0 win over Tottenham in their Women's Super League title defence.

On a day when her Matildas colleague Caitlin Foord had a decisive hand in the early goal that earned Arsenal their own 1-0 win over Dario Vidosic's Brighton & Hove Albion, champions Chelsea relied on a stunning winner from England midfielder Keira Walsh to earn the win that keeps them on top.

Kerr is still only being trusted with late cameos as she returns quietly from her long-term ACL injury and on Sunday, only got on the field at Chelsea's Kingsmeadow home in the 78th minute with the result still in the balance.
