Foodbank worker shown mercy by Lanarkshire Sheriff for trafficking heroin

A foodbank worker who was "pressured" into transporting drugs to Lanarkshire has been shown mercy by a Sheriff.

Ian Wilson was stopped by police on his motorbike in Chryston with heroin worth more than £5000.

But Sheriff Petra Collins decided "with considerable hesitation" not to jail the 61-year-old.
