McDonald's customers were left shocked after finding food stacked next to the toilets.
The footage was filmed on Wednesday by a man at a restaurant in St Austell, Cornwall.
The video shows a large number of buns stacked high in crates just outside the toilets, with the man branding the situation "bizarre".
Staff at the Cornish branch have since been "reminded of the correct procedures", CornwallLive reports.
McDonald’s has now said that the buns were only there temporarily after the restaurant received an especially large delivery.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said yesterday: “Early this morning the restaurant took a very large delivery and the team moved the items quickly in to the restaurant.
"Momentarily some burger buns, which are sealed in air tight liners, were stored in a hallway for a very short period.
"This is not normal practice and the team have been reminded of the correct procedures.”
