Foo Fighters have cancelled all their upcoming tour dates following the recent death of band member Taylor Hawkins. In a public statement issued on Tuesday (March 29) the group apologised for the disappointment.
The band were getting ready to embark on their 2022 tour, which was set to kick off on April 29 in Memphis - but announced it will no longer go ahead after the sad news. They were set to hit the UK, including performing at Emirates Old Trafford on June 6. Many dates had completely sold out.

Their statement to Twitter shortly before 8pm said: "It is with great sadness that Foo Fighters confirm the cancellation of all upcoming tour dates in light of the staggering loss of our brother Taylor Hawkins. We're sorry for and share in the disappointment that we won't be seeing one another as planned.
"Instead, let's take this time to grieve, to heal, to pull our loved ones close, and to appreciate all the music and memories we've made together. With love, Foo Fighters."
Emirates Old Trafford published an update online following the news, announcing that details on ticket, hotel and hospitality bookings for the concert will be communicated as soon as possible. See more on that here.
It follows the recent death of drummer Taylor Hawkins, who had 10 different substances in his system at the time of his death, according to officials in Colombia. The much-loved musician was declared dead at his hotel in Colombia after paramedics battled to revive him following reports of a man with “chest pain”.
The band announced his death on March 26 and said it was “devastated by the untimely loss” and asked for the privacy of his family to be respected. Tributes flooded in from across the rock world following his death.
