The heatwave is melting us all and our windows and doors have been flung open as we collectively try to cool down.
So really, it's not a good day for Flying Ant Day to hit Leeds. But that's exactly what's happened and now the winged insects are absolutely everywhere, inside our houses and out, on pavements, driveways, roads and even all over washing in the garden.
Flying Ant Day, as it's been dubbed, is the phenomenon which takes place once a year which sees queen ants emerge from their nest to begin their first flight.
