Floyd Mayweather vs Deji undercard fight scrapped after Tommy Fury opponent switch

Tonight's Global Titans boxing show has taken a another blow as it has been revealed that Harley Benn vs Faizan Azwar will not be taking place on the event's undercard. The fight had been due to take place before an alleged altercation at the hotel which was revealed in a statement by event organisers.

There have been chaotic scenes surrounding the event in Dubai which takes place tonight at the Coca Cola Arena in the middle east. This began with the news yesterday of Paul Bamba's withdrawal from the event, with Tommy Fury having weighed in at 181.4lbs - over 7lbs more than his opponent.

Fury took to Instagram to explain the situation surrounding his fight, telling his fans on Sunday: "I just want to clear a few things up, one contract was given to Paul Bamba and one contract was given to myself. The weight in my contract I made yesterday, so as far as I'm concerned I've done my job, I made weight. Paul Bamba does not want to fight, he never did. I'm here in Dubai, I've got a new opponent and I'm ready to go, so I'll see you all tonight."

He then followed this up with a statement which read: "Just to clarify, I made the weight specified in MY contract as I have for every fight I've ever fought. If Paul Bamba was told a different weight that he had to make for this fight then that has NOTHING to do with me."

Fury will now face Rolly Lambert, a 15-1-0 cruiserweight in an exhibition bout following Bamba's withdrawal and claims from Fury that they signed different contracts for the fight. The event has been hit with another withdrawal in the past 24 hours, with Anthony Taylor videoed storming away from hotel, appearing to cancel his fight against Jack Fincham in the process.

However, the issues now appear to be resolved, despite Taylor apparently being unhappy after Fincham reported in at 7lb overweight. He allayed fears of his withdrawal in a tweet, saying: "The problem has been fixed! I’m still fighting!". Mirror Fighting report that the fight will also be on the pay per view card after Taylor's alleged concern that it would not be part of the main show.

The chaos is not what the event organisers will have hoped for in the series which has been conceived to combine the worlds of celebrity and professional boxing.
