Floyd Mayweather has been taken the distance in his latest money-spinning exhibition with former sparring partner Don Moore in the Middle East.
Moore came into the fight with an undefeated record against limited opposition, with his opponent considered one of the greatest fighter's in the sports history. However the legend's class prevailed in a dominant display despite being taken the full eight-round distance.
The 45-year-old was delighted with his display and announced another exhibition with an opponent already decided. "I would like to thank everybody in the UAE, the media, and everybody who covered this fight. This is one of the best country's in the world," Mayweather said after the fight.
"Don Moore is still undefeated, we are both still undefeated. I will bring another fight back to the UAE this year. It's a secret. I don't want to let the cat out the bag right now. But we have an opponent, and I choose the UAE."
Mayweather retired from the sport after defeating Conor McGregor but has since launched a career in the exhibition circuit. He had already defeated Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa before going the distance with YouTube star Logan Paul last June.
The fight began with a clear skill-gap between the pair as the boxing legend used his speed and quick reflexes in the early stages. He later continued to enjoy putting on a show as he winked at the camera and called for three-minute rounds at the halfway stage.
The American opened up in the fifth round landing his most promising combinations, while doing a series of entertaining gestures including dancing with the ring girls and talking to the commentary team.
Mayweather dropped his opponent with just 30 seconds left with Moore desperately clinging on to survive the eight-round distance. His latest lucrative night went exactly the same way as his past exhibition, leaving both men to embrace on the final bell.
Further exhibitions could now be on the cards with the boxing legend who is expected to have earned around $100 million for his latest exploit. Amir Khan could be a potential opponent next after the pair discussed an exhibition fight in the Middle East.
Also on the card, Anderson Silva put in a dominant display against Bruno Machado to set up a clash with YouTube star Jake Paul. The Brazilian was rampant scoring a knockdown midway through the fight, with it remaining unclear if the 47-year-old keen to set up a high-profile event against Paul.
Badou Jack made a successful return to the ring when he defeated Hany Atiyo earlier in the night in just 47 seconds. Katie Taylor's former opponent Delfine Persoon also scored points victory over Elhem Mekhaled in an epic battle to put herself back in the hunt for a world title by securing the WBC Silver title.
