Floyd Mayweather's bodyguard shoved his opponent Mikuru Asakura as he advanced during their tense face-off.
Mayweather will take to the ring in his latest fight on the exhibition circuit against Japanese MMA fighter Asakura on September 25 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. It will be the boxing legend's fourth fight since retiring from the professional ranks, with his last fight coming against sparring partner Don Moore in the Middle East.
A tense face-off took place on the stage after the pair had traded verbal barbs during the press conference. Mayweather and Asakura came together with the Japanese fighter advancing forward in an attempt to intimidate the American. This saw Mayweather's long-time bodyguard Ray Sadeghi - also known as Jizzy Mack - shove his opponent away from Mayweather.
Mayweather came forward to complete the face-off however before Sadeghi once again intervened this time giving Asakura a lighter shove to end the tense glare at the front of the stage. Earlier, Mayweather had taken aim at his opponent in an attempt to raise interest in his latest money-making scheme.
“Until you make money like I do stop talking," he said while firing shots at his opponent Asakura via a translator. "Stop wearing dorky clothes and start wearing the TMT clothes which are much cooler than yours. I know it’s just an exhibition match but with a single punch I can guarantee you that his stomach is going to swell up like an eggplant.”
“[Our punches] are as different as a jet plane and a fly, so I look forward to having a match against him." He then began assessing preparations for his latest exhibition: “We don’t train as much when we were competing,” Mayweather continued. “When we were competing we were competing against the biggest and best in the sport of boxing.

"So now we doing a little — we may train a few days and let the body rest a few days, train a few days, rest a few days. We don’t really train too much. We just travel and enjoy life. As far as boxing and competing at the highest level I did it for so long. When it’s time to go out there and do what I gotta do, I got that on lock.”
This will be Mayweathers' second exhibition in the country having defeated kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in his first-ever showcase outing after ending his professional career with a win over Conor McGregor. Mayweather also shared the ring with YouTube star Logan Paul last June in a high-profile bout which went the eight-round distance.
