Floyd Mayweather displays frightening hand speed ahead of Aaron Chalmers fight

Floyd Mayweather showed off his dazzling hand speed in front of British fans ahead of his fight with Aaron Chalmers.

The boxing legend will return in his latest exhibition fight this Saturday night against Geordie Shore star Chalmers in a maiden UK appearance at London's O2 arena. Mayweather retired with a record of fifty victories without defeat in 2017 after beating Conor McGregor, and has since shared the ring with YouTube stars Logan Paul and Deji.

Despite turning 46 this week, Mayweather continues to possess the skills that he dazzled the world with during the height of his professional career, and he will look to showcase them in the British capital tomorrow night. Already the former multi-weight champion has put on a sensational display for onlookers at today's media workout for his latest money-spinning event.

Mayweather worked the pads with several of his coaches in the ring at a London gym with media gathering to see his display which went on over 30 minutes. In trademark fashion from 'TMT', he worked the mitts at sensational speed looking away from his target while pinpointing the shots with easy accuracy.

He appears to have not yet slowed down in training despite his age, and is set to try and finish the show before the close against Chalmers tomorrow night. The 46-year-old is aware of his opponent's brief background in combat sports and is hoping the pair can entertain the crowd inside the arena tomorrow night.

He said: "It’s great to be back in the UK performing entertain dream come true. I’ve been coming to UK since 1993 – it’s good to be over here. My advice to him [Chalmers] is to leave here with skills. He’s rough, tough and got experience in combat, so I’m pretty sure he’ll be at his best. I’ve got so much experience at highest level. I’ve fought at the best events.

"Experience plays a major part. With all these fighters, I want them to give it 100 per cent. We’re here to entertain. The UK has big fight market, it’s huge. I want him to be at his best and give it his all. These exhibitions keep me motivated to say in shape. If I was taking brutal punishment I couldn’t do it anymore.

"My career was great because of my defence. My faculties were important to me. I retired from the sport and I didn’t let the sport retire me. I’ve seen everything but you can never overlook a guy or underestimate a guy. He believes in his skills and talent. My job is to entertain and do what I do. I don’t have to have fast hands or feet. The proof is in the pudding."
