A father is facing a date in court after his eight-year-old son was found riding a jetski alone by police in Florida.
The marine unit of the Sarasota Police Department discovered the youngster off the coast of Lido Key on June 14.
The boy led officers to his parents, where his father admitted he wasn’t sure if it was legal for his son to ride, but he was “very proficient” on the watercraft.
It is illegal for anyone under 14 to operate a personal watercraft alone in the state of Florida.
