A Florida appeals court on Wednesday, upheld an earlier decision denying a young girl's claim to a house owned by a deceased man who had named her in his will. The case involved Melissa Azrack, who gave birth to the girl in 2017, and Malcolm Dorman, who died in March 2021. Although Dorman had described himself as the child's biological father, an earlier sperm donor agreement and a dispute over the legal status of his house complicated the claim. The appeal ultimately failed because Azrack had not challenged a separate finding about the property.
