Death row inmate who killed his boss in brutal attack set for lethal injection in Florida’s 17th execution this year

A man who raped and fatally beat his former manager at a Florida convenience store in 1988 is scheduled to be executed Thursday.

Richard Barry Randolph, 63, is set to receive a lethal injection starting at 6 p.m. at Florida State Prison near Starke. Randolph was convicted of murder, armed robbery, sexual battery and grand theft and sentenced to death in 1989.
