Oftentimes when you ask defensive line prospects which NFL players they watch and try to model their game after, Aaron Donald’s name gets brought up. He’s unquestionably the best defensive lineman in the NFL, so why would young players entering the NFL not try to take pieces from his game?
Florida defensive tackle Zach Carter likes to watch film of J.J. Watt, but he said his favorite player is Donald – and that should be the case for everyone, he believes.
“I feel like everybody’s favorite player should be Aaron Donald,” Carter said at the NFL combine Friday.
He’s not wrong, either.

Donald probably works harder than anyone in the NFL, living in the gym and on the practice field. That’s something every young player should take from his preparation and dedication.
After the Rams’ Super Bowl parade, Donald was in the gym working out the next day, taking no time off – despite considering retirement after winning his first ring.
If the Rams wind up drafting Carter in the middle rounds, he’d probably be thrilled to call Donald a teammate.
