Two of the biggest stars of upcoming movie Don’t Worry Darling, Florence Pugh and Chris Pine, were noticeably absent from the New York premiere.
The A-list Hollywood actors appeared to skip the event after they were dragged into the ongoing drama that surrounds the psychological thriller.
Pugh is said to be locked in a feud with director Olivia Wilde after reportedly disapproving of the way she began a relationship with leading man Harry Styles during filming and while still believed to be in a relationship with ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis.
Pine meanwhile was forced to deny claims that Styles spat on him at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this month after a clip appearing to show the incident went viral.
This left Wilde and Styles to lead the red carpet at the AMC Lincoln Square on Monday.
The couple were joined by co-stars such as Gemma Chan and Sydney Chandler.
Wilde bared her back in a black long-sleeved YSL gown and statement bracelets.
She wore her long brunette locks down, styled in side-parted waves.
Stylish singer-turned-actor Styles meanwhile opted for a navy-blue velvet double-breasted blazer over a blue-collared top, wide-leg pin-stripe pants, and kitten-heeled booties.
The Standard has contacted representatives for Florence Pugh and Chris Pine for comment.
1950s set Don’t Worry Darling tells the story of housewife Alice, played by Pugh, whose husband Jack (Styles) moves them into a utopian community for his new company.
She starts worrying that her husband and his company are hiding terrible secrets as her life is turned upside down.
It is released nationwide in UK cinemas from Friday.
