Floral tributes have been left at Birkdale station for a man found dead on the tracks on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the Crescent Road railway crossing near Birkdale after reports of a person on the tracks at around 6.21pm. Paramedics treated the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Today, two days on from the incident flowers and messages have been left at the level crossing of Dover and Grosvenor Road by friends and family.

A series of colourful bouquets have been tied to the fence near the barrier with an array of bright colours on show, one tribute reads: "Stand easy big man". The man has yet to be identified but British Transport police have said they are not treating the incident as suspicious.

A spokesperson for the force said: "British Transport Police were called to the line near Birkdale at 6.21pm yesterday evening (27 September) following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, and sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
