A flood warning was issued for parts of Nottinghamshire this evening (November 17). The Environment Agency says Haughton, Milton and West Drayton were most at risk of flooding.
It says this is due to 'persistent heavy rainfall'. And water levels around the River Maun look set to continue to rise, with further rainfall forecast.
The situation will be monitored overnight. It comes as a number of flood warnings, the second most severe, have been issued across England.

"We expect river levels to rise until 10pm tonight. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please consult your flood plan and move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety."
