Flood-hit parts of Bangkok to be declared disaster zones

Parts of flood-hit Lat Krabang district in Bangkok will be designated disaster areas to allow quick provision of emergency relief, City Hall announced on Thursday.

It was a rare announcement for the capital city, but officials were quick to say it was no cause for alarm.
