A cabin crew member has lifted the lid on some of the top secrets of working on a plane - and has claimed flight attendants sleep in "hidden" rooms that passengers can't see.
Barbie, 29, works as a flight attendant for La Azafata and regularly shares her travel tips on social media, as well as posting videos about some of the little-known secrets that surround her job.
The cabin crew member, who is from Argentina but is currently based in Turin, Italy, has been able to travel the world as part of her jet-setting career, but not every part of working on a commercial airline is plain sailing.
Barbie claims there's a whole list of banned words she isn't allowed to say as a flight attendant, as well as even more activities she's forbidden from doing - including chewing gum and speaking loudly.

She said: "[We're not allowed] to receive tips, speak out loud between us, chew gum and run on the plane, as passengers will think that something is wrong.
"On the plane, saying words such as: 'emergency', 'fire' or 'bomb' is forbidden, because many passengers may panic. That's why we use special codes and it's mandatory to know them.
"We're also forbidden to watch movies or listen to music."
The flight attendant also claimed that employees have special discounts for their tickets when flying outside of their working hours, and can also make use of priority check-in facilities.
And when she is on the clock, there's a "secret room" on the plane where she can rest before her head hits the pillow in a five-star hotel once the plane lands.
She added: "[My favourite] secrets are special discounts for plane tickets, as sometimes we pay only 10% of the ticket value. We have priority check-in and some planes have a secret room, where there are beds to rest during the flights.
"We rest in the best hotels, usually five-star, with a king-size bed and room service, of course. It's all paid by the airline you work for, as well as discounts in restaurants and hotels during your free time – just for being an air stewardess."
Barbie has also claimed that during long flights, cabin crew have access to rest rooms that are hidden behind a secret door - which most passengers will never know is there.
She explained: "During long flights, flight attendants and pilots must have breaks for resting and the secret [rest] rooms are behind a secret door either on the ceiling, floor or wall. The room is out of sight of passengers and is called 'crew rest.'
"In small planes, like the ones I used to fly, there are no beds – if we have to rest, we do it on passenger seats, but not next to them. We have seats specifically reserved for us."
The flight attendant shares her knowledge on her TikTok account, @barbiebac.ok, and one particular video that went viral saw her listing the things stewards are banned from doing.
Commenters on the video - which racked up over 16 million views - were baffled by Barbie's claims, and many questioned what the cabin crew are allowed to do if so many things are banned.
One person said: "In the end, it's worse than going to church."
While another added: "What do they do during the trip then?"
And a third joked: "And if there is a bomb on the plane, how do they notify? With mime."
