Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie has died aged 79 following a short illness.
Her family said in a statement that the British musician passed away "peacefully" in hospital on Wednesday morning.
They also added that Christine was a "revered musician who was loved universally".
In a statement on Twitter, her Fleetwood Mac bandmates paid tribute to the her saying: "There are no words to described our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie.
"She was truly one-of-a-kind, special and talented beyond measure.
"She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We are so lucky to have a life with her."
They thanked Christine for the memories they shared, saying: "She will be so very missed."
