Flat for sale seems 'normal' but leaves viewers in stitches with secret 'country pub'

A flat has gone on the market for £300,000 which hides a boozy feature as one of its rooms has been converted to resemble a country pub.

The incredible addition is hidden away in a quiet part of the property in a Victorian mansion in Alexandra Park, north of Nottingham city centre.

On first impression, the two-bed flat looks like any other in the area.

But a stroll down its corridor leads to the surprise addition which has a full bar and pumps, bar seating, hanging wine glasses, comfy chairs and tables and a big screen to watch films or sport.

It is on the market with agents Walton and Allen for a guide price of between £300,000 and £325,000.

A description on RightMove reads: "Walton and Allen are delighted to market this superb, two bedroom apartment situated in a Victorian mansion in the heart of Alexandra Park and within the Mapperley Park conservation area.

"Viewing is a must on this fantastic apartment. Occupying the rear ground floor with its own access and at around 1700 square feet, it offers versatile and extensive accommodation, as well as maintained communal grounds."

It also boasts a grey kitchen with wooden floors, spacious living room with double doors, two double bedrooms, a dressing room and a bathroom with a freestanding tub.
