The weather service stated, 'This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! Life-threatening flash flooding is occurring in low-lying areas, small creeks, streams, urban regions, highways, streets, and underpasses. Homes and businesses are at risk of inundation, and there is potential for damage to roadways and infrastructure. Sudden stream rises and life-threatening landslide activity are also concerns.'
Further rainfall is expected in the area on Friday, which will exacerbate the already hazardous conditions. Rising stream levels and an increased risk of life-threatening landslides and flooding are anticipated as a result of the additional precipitation.
