After Leeds United's good start to the season, it's something of a shame that they'll be forced to wait a month for their next Premier League fixture following their fixture postponements this week.
Both their games against Nottingham Forest on Monday night and this weekend's clash against Manchester United have been postponed after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
However, there'll always be winners and losers from these kind of situations. Here are some of Leeds' winners and losers that'll be affected the most after the international break.
Winners
Rodrigo
The Spaniard had a great start to the season with four goals and an assist in his first five starts for the Whites but a dislocated shoulder against Everton stopped that form in its tracks.
With this break, Rodrigo can let his injury heal fully and not feel pressured to return to training too early. He'll be able to come back fresh and ready to hit the ground running again, looking to recapture the form he was on earlier in the season.
Junior Firpo
The Dominican returned to training last week after suffering a knee injury in preseason and hasn't seen play since. Pascal Struijk has filled in at left-back for him but Firpo will want to reclaim his spot in the starting eleven.
The international break will give him the time to slowly build up his fitness again and make sure he's ready for Premier League football after his persistent fitness and injury issues since joining the Whites.
Patrick Bamford
After only playing nine league games last season, Bamford has had a slow start to this season but the international break could be exactly what he needs.
While he might find the stop-and-start nature of his return to Premier League football slightly annoying, it'll give him more time to build up his fitness alongside Rodrigo and Firpo and give Jesse Marsch headaches as to why he'll select come Aston Villa at the start of October.
Losers
Brenden Aaronson
The American youngster has had a great start to his Premier League career and won't be happy with the month-long stoppage he'll find himself and his side in.
The 21-year-old already has a goal and an assist in his first six matches including a goal against historic rivals Chelsea and would have been wanting to continue this momentum.
Jack Harrison
Arguably Leeds' best player so far this season, Jack Harrison has thoroughly impressed many, including opposition managers, with his performances under Jesse Marsch in this campaign.
He'll hope that his three assists and a goal to start off his 2022/23 season will carry his early form through the international break but we'll have to wait and see if he can get off to a good start against Aston Villa in October.
