Five Unvaccinated or Under-Vaccinated Siblings in Jasper County Have Measles as Georgia's 2026 Total Doubles Last Year's

The Georgia Department of Public Health has confirmed measles in five siblings from one Jasper County family, raising the state's 2026 total to 21 confirmed cases. Georgia reported 10 cases in all of 2025.

The siblings "were either unvaccinated or under-vaccinated," and "at least one sibling has a history of out-of-state travel," according to the state's announcement. Officials did not say where the travel occurred.
