Five things you should never do on a plane to avoid a nightmare journey

A former flight attendant has revealed the five things you should never do when you are on a plane in order to have a pleasant journey.

From never getting on an airplane without a snack to avoiding hot water, Kat Kamalani has used her TikTok channel to share the top tips with her followers, the Daily Star reports. With many people jetting off abroad, the handy tips may come useful for those who want an easy and pleasant flight.

The first top tip was to always bring snacks because you "never know what's going to happen". At number two was advice not to "drink the hot water on the airplane". In her reasoning why on a separate video, Kat said this was because water tanks were "rarely cleaned".

She said: "Talk to a flight attendant, we rarely, rarely drink the tea or coffee. They come from the same water tank and so when you're drinking that coffee and tea it comes from that hot water and it's absolutely disgusting."

The TikTok user went on to advise travellers to always "obey the flight attendants" as well as checking alternative flights and airports and hotels in case anything unexpected happens. Kat said: "Number five, I would never divulge too much information, personal information to someone who's sitting next to you and asking about your life."

The advice was quickly praised by thousands of fans as one said she enjoys making a "new identity" for herself, telling entertaining stories to other passengers. Another offered advice to brink a blanket in case it gets cold."
