Five things to get you excited on Blue Monday in Liverpool

Today (Monday, January 16) is Blue Monday.

Every year, the third Monday of January is named 'Blue Monday' as it is supposedly the saddest day of the year. This is due to several factors including the weather, dark nights, post-Christmas debt and the pressure of failed New Year's resolutions.

Many people have disputed the legitimacy of Blue Monday, but for some, January can be a difficult time of year. If you're struggling at the moment, it can be a good idea to plan things to look forward to.
