Five things this week that you shouldn't miss

It's shaping up to be a busy week and there is a lot to look out for.

The first case in connection with Olivia Pratt-Korbel's murder is set to come to Liverpool Crown Court on Monday in the form of a pre-trial hearing. National events are also set to have an impact as National Rail strikes will take place next weekend.

With so much going on it will be hard to keep track of everything but don't worry we have put together a list of what you need to look out for next week.

Pre-Trail hearing in connection with Olivia Pratt-Korbel murder

Paul Russel will appear in Liverpool Crown Court on Monday, October 31 on charges of assisting an offender. Russell of Snowberry Road, West Derby, is accused of assisting Thomas Cashman in the murder case of Olivia Pratt-Korbel. At the pre-trial hearing, Russell will be expected to enter his plea.

New Hot Water Comedy Club Venue hangs in the balance

On Tuesday Liverpool Council planning committee will decide if former transport depot in Kirkdale is to be repurposed into a new comedy and entertainment venue. Hot Water Comedy Club is seeking approval from Liverpool Council to convert the former warehouse on Blackstock Street into comedy and live music performance areas, a food market, bars, and rooftop terraces, a podcast theatre, recording studios, and ancillary accommodation.
