A five-star hotel brand is in talks to open at Gary Neville’s St Michael’s scheme in Manchester city centre.
First reported by Place North West, BusinessLive understands that W Hotels is close to agreeing a deal.
The brand is part of the Marriott Group and would run the 191-bedroom hotel planned to be within the 40-storey tower of the scheme.

The tower will be completed by Salboy and Mr Neville’s development company, Relentless.
As well as the hotel, the building would also include around 180 apartments.
If a deal is finalised, the hotel would be the brand's third in the UK. It opened its first site in London over ten years ago while its Edinburgh destination is expected to open later this year.
As well as the UK, the brand has hotels across the USA, Europe, Middle East, South America and Asia.
The first phase of the St Michael's scheme started to be constructed last year and will feature 185,000 sq ft of office space and a rooftop restaurant.
The phase is expected to be completed in 2024.
