A popular zoo in West Lothian have announced they are in the process of building a brand new penguin enclosure.
The Five Sisters Zoo in West Calder is currently taking on the expensive process of creating a bigger and better enclosure for their penguins.
And while they haven’t asked people to donate or raise money, they have asked fans of the zoo to purchase compost to help them continue with the penguin enclosure.
Writing on social media, Five Sisters Zoo said: “The new Penguin enclosure is coming along nicely. Although it is a very expensive project we are sure it will be amazing when it’s completed.
“We are not asking for donations or crowd funding as has kindly been suggested by lots of people, although there are other ways you can help.
“We are selling 75 litre bags of garden compost at £10.00 per bag with free delivery for 5 bags or more.
“Follow link to gardens r us to purchase: https://www.gardens-r-us.scot/shop/
“We also offer garden tidy ups including grass, tree and hedge cutting, turfing and planting carried out by the some of the zoo’s gardening team.
“All proceeds go towards completion of the penguin enclosure. Please email brianc@fivesisterszoo.co.uk
“As always thank you to everyone that supports the zoo.”
