Newcastle United's summer rebuild has slowed down since the arrival of Sven Botman. The Magpies are still on the lookout for additions to their front line after having two bids knocked back for James Maddison last week.
For all the talk of incomings, Eddie Howe knows he may need to move players on to free up some wages and create space in the squad. Newcastle have already seen Dwight Gayle, Jeff Hendrick, Isaac Hayden and Ciaran Clark leave St. James' Park this summer and more could follow suit.
With that in mind, Chronicle Live has taken a look at some of the player who could leave Tyneside this summer.

Martin Dubravka
The arrival of Nick Pope has raised questions regarding Martin Dubravka's future at St. James' Park. The Slovakian has been the number one since arriving on Tyneside back in 2018.
There has been speculation linking the 33-year-old with a move to Premier League rivals Leicester City, following Kasper Schmeichel's departure earlier this month. Eddie Howe has already conceded he may have to part ways with one of three shot stoppers this summer.
Dubravka undeniably poses the most competition for Pope, with the likes of Karl Darlow and Mark Gillespie in danger of losing their place.
Karl Darlow
Karl Darlow has been a loyal servant during his time with the Magpies, but hasn't been able to usurp Dubravka from that number one spot, and with Pope's arrival, the former Nottingham Forest shot stopper has been pushed further down the pecking order.
The 31-year-old was linked with a move to West Brom earlier this summer, but speculation has fallen quiet in recent weeks. When asked about the goalkeeping situation at the club, Howe said:" It’s too early to say.
"I don’t know. Certainly, I wouldn’t want anyone to leave but I’m well aware four is a difficult number to carry. My wish would be to do that but obviously I’ve got to think of the players as well. Hopefully we’ll make the right decision.”
Matty Longstaff
Matty Longstaff is now in the final year of his contract and in the past Newcastle have been known to loan fringe players out. There had been reports suggest that the academy graduate was made to train with the Under-21's and told he was free to leave the club in pre-season, but would feature a number of times for the First Team.
When asked about sending Longstaff on loan, Howe said: "We’ll see what comes up for Matty. What he has shown in pre-season is a brilliant attitude.
"He’s brilliant around the group, loves Newcastle - he’s Newcastle through and through. He’s got a great relationship with his brother and the lads love him.
"We would open the door to him to maybe get football for his own benefit. We’ll wait and see."
Elliot Anderson
Elliot Anderson's future at the club this season has been one of the most talked about topics. The youngster has shown he's got what it takes to compete against some of the best in the world, and hasn't looked out of place in pre-season.
Jonjo Shelvey's injury means he could be given the chance to shine in the first-half of the campaign, but there are also a number of clubs waiting on a decision. Anderson has been linked with a loan move to a host of Championship clubs after impressing for Joey Barton's Bristol Rovers last season.
“He’s performed very well,” the Newcastle boss said last month. "No decision will be made on his future until towards the end of the transfer window, probably the last few days. At the moment, it certainly looks like he’s going to stay with us, because of how he’s performing.
"His performance today was very good. I thought he was very, very good defensively today, very good tactically to understand his position, but also technically in tight areas, really quick feet. For me, during pre-season, he’s got better and better. So great signs for him.”
"I want to be here,” Anderson said last month. “I want to force my way into the team, but, I guess, that’s the club’s decision. I’ve just got to work as hard as I can on the pitch, and see what happens.
“I think it’s been really good for me, just trying to fit into the team, work on the way they play and try and impress. I just want to try and carry on the momentum I had (on loan). Obviously, it’s a lot higher standard, but I need to try and take what I did well (on loan) into these pre-season games.”
Javier Manquillo
Javier Manquillo is another player who could leave St. James' Park this summer. The Spaniard has turned in some fine performances during his Tyneside tenure, but further additions to the Newcastle defence has seen him slip down the pecking order.
The former Liverpool defender missed the majority of pre-season through injury and may find it hard to force his way back into the side, with Kieran Trippier and Emil Krafth ahead of him in the right-back pecking order.
Speaking about his absence last month, Howe explained: “He’s got a groin problem that he had at the end of last season. It wasn’t fixed in the summer so he’s away having treatment in Barcelona or Madrid but I think he should be back maybe around the Portugal trip or maybe just after to train."
