A local food delivery application has listed the top five dishes ordered in Thailand this year.
According to data from LINE MAN Wongnai, one of Thailand’s largest delivery platforms, the most-ordered dishes of 2025 reflect the country’s enduring food culture.
Here are the top five:
1. Som tam pu pla ra (spicy papaya salad with pickled crab and fermented fish sauce)
This boldly flavoured dish claimed the top spot with more than 8 million servings across the country. It also marks the first time in years that som tam pu pla ra has overtaken fried chicken, a long-standing favourite. The ranking highlights the firm place that spicy flavours continue to hold in Thai food culture.
2. Fried rice
Fried rice remains a perennial favourite. It is familiar, easy to eat and endlessly customisable — from pork fried rice to squid fried rice — making it a go-to option for anyone seeking a quick, satisfying meal.
3. Fried chicken
Despite losing its former crown to som tam pu pla ra, fried chicken continues to be one of the country’s most dependable delivery staples. As a comfort food that suits all ages and occasions, fried chicken remains a constant on order lists throughout Thailand.
4. Hainanese chicken rice
Simple, comforting and widely available, Hainanese chicken rice is often seen as a “safe choice”. Its familiar flavour makes it a popular lunchtime order.
5. Khao krapao moo krob (stir-fried crispy pork with basil and rice)
Thailand's beloved “can’t-think-of-what-to-eat” classic, stir-fried crispy pork with basil (kra pao moo krob) continues to secure a firm spot in the Top 5.
