Five more London Labour councillors have joined the Green Party in what is believed to be the largest mass defection of its kind so far.

Leader Zack Polanski welcomed the Brent councillors to his party on Monday, claiming their move showed the “Green surge has widened in London” and “mirrors what we're hearing across the country”.
