Positive Covid tests have fallen by at least 25% in five areas of the Liverpool City Region.
According to the latest data from Public Health England, the biggest fall in Covid infections on Merseyside was in Knowsley.

There were 127 cases in Knowsley in the week ending May 15. That's 73 fewer cases than in the previous seven days.
It meant that the week-on-week percentage change figure in Knowsley dropped by 37%.
In the other four areas of Merseyside the falls were: 29% in Liverpool; 28% in St Helens; 31% in Sefton; and 24% in Wirral. And in Halton, there was a 12% fall.
In Warrington, West Lancs, and Cheshire West and Chester recorded falls in Covid infections.
In the week ending May 15, the week-on-week percentage change figure fell by 22% in England.
Liverpool
Liverpool's positive tests came to 384 cases in the week ending May 15, which is 153 fewer cases than the previous week. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 29%. The latest infection rate was 76.7 cases per 100,000 people.
Wirral
Wirral's positive tests came to 279 cases in the week ending May 15, which is 86 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. This meant the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 24%. The latest infection rate was 86.0 cases per 100,000 people.
Halton
There were 119 positive tests over the last week - that's 16 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 12% in Halton in the week ending May 15. The latest infection rate is 91.7 cases per 100,000 people.
St Helens
There was a total of 161 cases in the week ending May 15, which is 61 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in St Helens is 88.9 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 28%.
Knowsley
There was a total of 127 cases in the week ending May 15, which is 73 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate in Knowsley is 83.3 cases per 100,000 people and the week-on-week percentage change figure decreased by 37%.
Sefton
Sefton had a total of 256 cases in the week ending May 15, which is a 117 fewer cases than in the previous week. The latest infection rate is 92.8 cases per 100,000 people and the number of cases decreased by 31% week on week.
Liverpool City Region
There were 1,326 positive tests over in the week ending May 15, which is 506 fewer cases than in the previous week. This means the week-on-week percentage change decreased by 28%. The latest infection rate is 77.87 cases per 100,000 people.
Warrington
There were 188 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 15, which is 73 fewer cases than the previous week. The week-on-week percentage figure decreased by 28%. There was an infection rate of 89.78 per 100,000 people.
Cheshire West and Chester
There were 361 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 15, which is 118 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate is 105.00 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage decreased by 25% in cases.
West Lancs
There were 94 positive Covid-19 tests in the week ending May 15, which is 19 fewer cases than the previous week. The latest infection rate in West Lancs is 82.10 cases per 100,000 people, and the week-on-week percentage decreased by 17% in cases.
England
In the week ending May 15, England recorded 47,827 coronavirus cases, which is 13,413 fewer cases than in the previous seven days. The week-on-week percentage decreased by 22% in England. There was an infection rate of 84.57 per 100,000 people.
