Five Liverpool Premier League fixtures moved for TV coverage

Five of Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League fixtures have been moved after being selected for live television coverage.

All five games are scheduled to take place in August and September. The changes were confirmed by the Premier League on Saturday morning.

Liverpool’s first game to be moved is at the end of August, when they travel to the North East to take on Newcastle United. The game at St. James' Park will now take place on Sunday, August 27, kicking off at 4.30pm and being shown live on Sky Sports.

All four of Liverpool’s games in September have been moved. The first of which is on the opening weekend of the month when Aston Villa visit Anfield.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, September 2, the game will now be played 24 hours later. And although it kicks off at 2pm, it will not be shown on TV as the fixture has been moved due to Villa's participation in the Conference League playoffs the preceding Thursday.

The following week, Liverpool head to Molineux to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers, and the game will now take place at the earlier time of 12.30pm and be shown live on TNT Sports, formerly BT Sport.

Due to both clubs' participation in the Europa League the preceding Thursday, Liverpool’s home clash against West Ham United has been pushed back 24 hours and will now take place on Sunday, September 24. The game, which kicks off at 2pm, will not be shown live on television in the UK.

Then the final Liverpool game to be moved is the away game to Tottenham Hotspur on the final Saturday of September. Although the fixture will still take place on the day it was originally scheduled to, it will now kick off at the later time of 5.30pm and be shown live on Sky Sports.
